Our Services
A container that arrives is not the end of a project — it is the start of the part that decides whether the supplier is still there in year eight. This page sets out the warranty term for each product family, how a claim is raised and settled, the three trade terms we ship on, and the documents that travel with the goods.
- 10–15 yr sheet warranty
- 5–10 yr heterogeneous
- 2–3 yr accessories
- 14 working days to claim
Warranty
How long the floor is covered, and from which date
Every warranty starts on the day the goods are delivered at the destination port — not the invoice date and not the loading date. The term itself depends on which product family you bought.
| Product family | Brand | Warranty term |
|---|---|---|
| Homogeneous PVC sheetengineering grade | UNITECH NEXUS | 10–15 years |
| Commercial heterogeneous sheetcommercial grade | UNITECH NEXUS | 5–10 years |
| Adhesives, profiles and accessoriesinstallation materials | GREEN POINT | 2–3 years |
What the warranty does not cover
- Mechanical damage: scratching, impact and abrasion caused by use, furniture or traffic.
- Chemical attack from strong acid or alkali beyond the product's chemical resistance table.
- Installation that departs from the technical specification.
- Blistering caused by moisture in the subfloor.
- Natural disaster or force majeure.
The exclusions are about cause, not paperwork: a floor that lifts from a wet subfloor is a site condition. Install to the specification first and the warranty has something to stand on.
Claims
Two claim clocks, two kinds of evidence
Transit damage and an inherent defect run on different timelines. Mixing them up is how a valid claim gets lost before anyone looks at the floor.
Damage or shortage in transit
Report within 14 working days
14 working days from collection of the goods at the destination port
A port damage report, or an unboxing video
After the window the container's condition can no longer be tied to the shipment
Our export team, who carry it to the carrier or the insurer
Inherent defect
Accepted any time in warranty
Any time inside the warranty term for that product family
Checked against the factory record and the sealed approval sample
Free replacement goods shipped at our cost, or a pro-rata refund or credit
Confirmed factory defects, not site or workmanship causes
A 14-day window is not a grace period — it is the period in which the container's condition can still be evidenced. Photograph the pallets before you open them.
Trade terms
FOB, CIF, or door-to-door with the duty already paid
We ship on three terms. Which one you take decides where our responsibility ends and where yours starts — and it is the single biggest difference between two quotes for the same floor.
| Term | We handle | You handle |
|---|---|---|
| FOB Shanghai / Tianjin / Dalianstandard terms | Inland transport to the Chinese port and the export declaration | Ocean freight, marine insurance and destination charges |
| CIF / CFRfreight and insurance included | Space booking and marine All Risks insurance to the destination port | Import clearance and duty at destination |
| DDP / DAPdoor to door, duty paid | Export and import clearance, duty and tax paid, delivery to site | Nothing beyond unloading at your yard |
DDP / DAP door to door: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and selected Middle Eastern markets
- We clear both ends and pay the import duty and tax, so the container arrives at your site with nothing left to arrange.
- The lane is live across South-East Asia — Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia among them — and in selected key markets in the Middle East.
- Outside those lanes the order moves FOB or CIF, and destination clearance stays with you.
Export documents
The set that travels with the container
A customs broker should never have to ask you for a document we could have issued. Six documents leave with the goods, matched to the standard they are issued against.
| Document | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Commercial invoice | Value, quantity and the Incoterm the shipment runs on |
| Packing list | Rolls, cartons, pallets and weights per container |
| Bill of lading (B/L) | Title to the container and the release instruction |
| Certificate of originCO, Form E, Form F, RCEP | Preference claimed, where a trade agreement applies |
| COA — factory inspection report | Batch results against the contracted standard |
| Third-party reportsSGS, CE, REACH | Independent verification for specifiers and tender files |
Tell us the destination country before the contract is issued: the origin certificate and the third-party reports that clear a tender in one market are not always the set another market asks for.
FAQ
What project buyers ask about warranty and delivery
01 When does the warranty start, and how long is it?
On the day the goods are delivered at the destination port. Homogeneous PVC sheet carries 10–15 years, commercial heterogeneous sheet 5–10 years, and adhesives, profiles and accessories 2–3 years.
02 What is outside the warranty?
Mechanical scratching and impact, strong acid or alkali attack beyond the chemical resistance table, installation that departs from the technical specification, blistering from a wet subfloor, and force majeure.
03 How long do we have to report damage or shortage?
14 working days from collection of the goods at the destination port, with a port damage report or an unboxing video. An inherent defect, by contrast, is accepted at any time inside the warranty term.
04 What happens if the defect is confirmed to be yours?
We ship replacement goods free of charge and carry the freight, or agree a pro-rata refund or a credit against the next order. The check runs against the factory record and the sealed approval sample.
05 Which destinations can you ship DDP to, and who pays the duty?
Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and other South-East Asian markets, plus selected key markets in the Middle East. On DDP/DAP we clear both ends and pay the duty and tax; on any other term the duty, destination charges and any demurrage from delayed clearance are yours.
Send the project; the offer comes back with the term, the documents and the duty
Tell us the destination country, the product family and the volume. The quotation comes back with the Incoterm that fits — FOB, CIF or DDP with duty paid — the warranty term for each family, and the document set the import authority will ask for.
